We build this site to be usable by everyone, and we treat accessibility as a requirement, not an afterthought.

Our target standard

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA across the site. This supports our obligations under the Disability Discrimination Act 1992 (Cth) and reflects the procurement expectations of the government and health bodies we serve.

How we build for access

Semantic HTML with a correct heading order and landmark regions.
Full keyboard operability and a visible focus indicator on every interactive element.
A skip-to-content link as the first focusable element.
Body text at 18px with generous line height, and colour contrast that meets AA.
Statistics presented as real data tables, so figures are never image-only.
Reduced-motion support: all transitions are removed when you request reduced motion.

Testing

Accessibility checks, both automated and manual, are part of our definition of done for every page, rather than a one-off audit after launch.
